We provide multidisciplinary specialty services to patients who have the spectum of movement disorders that include Parkinson’s Disease and Parkinsonism, Tremor, Dystonia, Chorea, Myoclonus, Huntington’s Disease, Tourette’s Syndrome, Restless Leg Syndrome, and Drug Induced Movement Disorders.

Manager of Patient Care – The Manager of Patient Care is responsible for overseeing all staff and operations of the Movement Disorder Clinic. The Manager is committed to providing a high standard of care and welcomes all ideas, suggestions and concerns.

Nurses – Movement Disorder Clinic Nurses  can provide you with direct care, perform nursing procedures, provide education and counseling, and promote healthy practices.

Dietitian – A Registered Dietitian is a trusted source of accurate nutrition information and advice.  Our Dietitian can assess your individual needs and provide you with counselling and meal planning to address your specific nutritional requirements.

Social Worker –The Social worker’s role is to assist people with movement disorders and their families live as healthy and full lives as possible. Support is provided in many areas such as: financial, psycho-social adjustments, employment, long term planning, caregiver support, service coordination and community resource access. Your confidentiality will be respected.

Occupational Therapist – An Occupational Therapist (OT) helps individuals regain, improve or maintain their abilities or skills. They build on the strengths of the individual to help find new ways of doing things. The Occupational Therapist can review any concerns you have with activities such as dressing, bathing or eating, and with any adaptations you may need, such as special seating, equipment and other devices. Some assessments may be done in your home.

Physiotherapist – Physiotherapists work with individuals to assess, diagnose, treat and provide recommendations based on the individual’s physical condition. A Physiotherapist is on staff to assess and treat problems related to walking, balance, strength, pain management, flexibility, endurance and coordination.
