Notification of COVID-19 Positive Cases Among Staff

This message is to advise you that three Deer Lodge Centre staff members have tested positive for COVID-19. The associated Units are Lodge 4 Rehab, Tower 5 PCH, and Tower 3 Special Needs dementia care. The Tower 5 case has been determined to be low risk and follow up is underway for Lodge 4 and Tower 3.
We are working closely with Public Health and Infection Prevention and Control to ensure all steps are taken to minimize risk to patients, residents, families, and staff.

- We are closely monitoring Patients and Residents for symptoms of COVID-19. Any patients or residents exhibiting symptoms will be tested for the cause of their illness, including for COVID-19. Primary contacts will be notified if their family member is being tested along with any results.
- We also want to strongly encourage all family members and visitors to be very careful in the community. The risk of being exposed is currently very high so please follow all Public Health direction to keep you and your relative safe.
